> To promote dIversity in programme making, and production.

> To be accessible to indie staff, freelance, and BBC and commercial radio staff.

This course is designed to give you a broad overview of the health & safety issues to be considered when making a radio production. After the course you will be able to identify hazards that might be encountered in a production. You will also know what organisational procedures rules and guidance are in place to deal with them in a safe manner.

While we can't guarantee indies a "pass" from BBC Radio on the H&S questionnaire, we have discussed this course with them, and agreed that attendance will demonstrate a level of understanding of the issues that should be sufficient for most straightforward radio programme making

Who is it for?

Those working in production from producers through to sound engineers will benefit. Essentially any one who could be responsible for, or is tasked with, the completion of a Risk Assessment Form.
